ABOUT ABRAFP
The Brazilian Association of Philosophy and Psychoanalysis is a Psychoanalytic School that studies and analyzes the philosophical and epistemological assumptions of Psychoanalysis.
We offer free courses on cultural diffusion in philosophy and psychoanalysis , seminars, conferences and lectures. Our Institution welcomes all who show interest in philosophical and psychoanalytic knowledge.
ABRAFP was conceived and founded on July 31, 2008.
On November 22, 2018, in order to meet new demands and new social and cultural objectives, it became a Simple Limited Society.
On February 8, 2021, we entered into a partnership with Pearson. And we started to make available to psychoanalysts in training and to associates more than 9,500 books! 2,500 being in Psychology, Psychoanalysis and Philosophy.
ABRAFP believes that it is always possible to transform culture and overcome obstacles, whether objective or subjective; emphasizing that all well-being and pleasure must begin with an intellectual and affective catharsis.
Currently, ABRAFP's staff are composed of researchers from different areas of knowledge, spread throughout the national territory, committed to society and to the knowledge that really transforms the subject and civilization.
The BRAZILIAN ASSOCIATION OF PHILOSOPHY AND PSYCHOANALYSIS offers courses of the highest quality, with a social policy of distributing scholarships for Training in Psychoanalysis , through a fair process of socio-economic analysis.
ABRAFP proposes a change through knowledge to improve Life.
The course aims to train psychoanalysts through the transmission of psychoanalysis in its specificity, based on the three fundamental elements of training: critical study of psychoanalytic theory, personal analysis, and supervision. At the end of the course, the participant will have theoretical foundations to listen, identify, distinguish and intervene in the psychic symptoms observed in the psychoanalytic clinic.
Training in Psychoanalysis enables you to exercise the profession of psychoanalyst.
The Psychoanalyst graduated from the Brazilian Association of Philosophy and Psychoanalysis can work in clinics and offices in accordance with the laws in force in our country.
The course has a regular duration of two years and a workload of 1,260 hours, and is intended for graduates in Human and Social Sciences.
